Product Overview: "Front Assist incl. City Emergency Brake for VW T6.1 SH"
- A radar sensor integrated into the front bumper identifies critical distance scenarios and impending collisions.
- When a hazardous situation is detected, the system promptly notifies the driver through visual and audible alerts, as well as applying a slight brake jerk.
- The Front Assist system operates in two stages:
- 1st stage: Audible and visual warnings are issued, and preparation for emergency braking occurs (brake pads engage).
- 2nd stage: A brief single brake jerk warns of an imminent rear-end collision, and brake pressure is increased to the necessary level. In cases where a collision is unavoidable, the system engages maximum braking force (emergency braking), minimizing the impact and resulting damage.
- The city emergency brake function is capable of recognizing traffic conditions up to 15 meters ahead of the vehicle, operating in the speed range of 5 - 30 km/h, and is equipped with pedestrian and cyclist detection capabilities.
